Brophy is calling on the south-west to recognise a young person for the 2022 Warrnambool and Moyne Youth Awards!

Nominations can be made by coaches, teachers, employers, parents, siblings, teammates, friends, peers and anyone with a connection to young person.

The Youth Awards recognise people aged between 12 to 25 years old who demonstrate the values of:

Responsibility

Kindness

Resilience

Passion

Cooperation

The awards are divided into three age categories: 12-15 years; 16-18 years and 19-25 years. In each age category, awards will be given to nominees who have demonstrated three of these five values.

It has moved towards a ‘value based’ award system in recent years, to shine a light on young people in our community that may have otherwise gone unnoticed.

This year’s award presentation ceremony will take place at Deakin University on Sunday 11th September.

The nominations will be judged by our Youth Ambassadors, which are made up of past award recipients and young community leaders.

The award presentation ceremony will be held in person for the first time in two years.
