Brophy is expanding the delivery of mental health services to young people across the south-west with a brand-new headspace centre in Hamilton.
It means young people aged 12 to 25 will be able to access support in the heart of Hamilton.
The new centre will build on existing mental health infrastructure to provide more support to the region’s youth.
Brophy and Western Victoria Primary Health Network will provide updates to the community about the development of the centre as it progresses.
In the meantime, visit https://headspace.org.au/online-and-phone-support/ or call 1800 650 890 for eheadspace support.

A bit about the roles…
Joining our Hamilton Team in Operations Management, Clinical Leadership, Community Awareness & Engagement and Mental Health Work, will offer you the scope to put your own stamp on these important roles, helping implement services from the ground up.
To help you succeed, you’ll have the support of our teams already working at our headspace Warrnambool and Portland sites. You’ll also be part of a 200-strong staff at our lead agency, Brophy Family and Youth Services – a local community services provider working alongside our community for over 50 years.
But mostly, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference for young people in the Hamilton region. Designing and delivering innovative ways of working with young people to strengthen their mental health and wellbeing.
It’s the excitement of the new combined with the security of the known! Join our team. Be part of something new. We’d love to hear from you.

A bit about Hamilton…
A vibrant and bustling regional city with great cafes, large and small retailers, gorgeous landscapes and regular community events, Hamilton also has excellent schools and a strong, progressive agricultural industry. It’s a place where community still matters.
If you are up for a day or weekend out – Hamilton is within close distance to the Great Ocean Road, Coonawarra and the Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park. Explore the rolling green hills, dormant volcanoes and misty waterfalls. Drive past the Hamilton Regional Livestock Exchange to see the farming region in action, before continuing on to the Henty wine region for a taste of the region’s best.

Youth Reference Group meetings
Brophy is seeking Southern Grampians Shire Council-based young people to join our headspace Youth Reference Group!
The YRG is a group of volunteers aged 16-25 who care about youth mental health and want to have a say in how headspace delivers its services.
The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 1 at the Hamilton Cinema from 5pm. Brophy will do a video link meeting with the Warrnambool Hay Crew (Youth Reference Group) to find out what their role entails before a free screening of the Barbie movie (let’s see if the hype is justified!).
