Brophy provides specialist multidisciplinary health and wellbeing services to young people. Focusing on engagement, they deliver flexible and unique services to young people in relaxed and comfortable youth-friendly environments.
Community Connections
Community Connections is a key service offer of the BETTER FUTURES model that aims to build supportive networks, pathways, and opportunities for young people within their communities.
Community Connections supports young care leavers to create informal connections and opportunities outside the service system that includes mentors, peers, community groups, sporting clubs, rotary local business and community elders.
It also connects young people with community mentors who can help them explore personal & professional aspirations as well as connect them with social and recreational activities.
Community Connections remove barriers to participation and provide new experiences that contribute to improving a young person’s self esteem, resilience, agency, health & wellbeing, and connection to their community.
Youth Specialist AoD Programs
We work together with individuals and families to ensure they are safe and supported while building independence from Alcohol and Other Drugs.
Our Youth Specialist alcohol and/or drug (AOD) programs support young people (12-25 years) who require early intervention and/or alcohol and drug treatment to stabilise, reduce or cease harmful alcohol and drug use. Support is also offered to the young person’s parent/carer.
Our AoD programs deliver treatment using an engagement model of outreach, assessment, targeted interventions such as counselling, linkage to support services, including education and training and meaningful life activities.

Healthy Relationships
The Healthy Relationships program is designed to engage young people in an open dialogue about the issues relating to healthy and unhealthy relationships, including sexual assault and its prevention.
Some areas we explore include:
- Value systems
- Unpacking social constructs and gender stereotypes
- Bystander and upstander action
- Healthy and unhealthy relationships
- Sexual consent and decision making
- Gender equality, and
- The prevention of violence
More recently, the program has developed the Signal Respect project; a community arts-based project. Signal Respect aims to enable young people the opportunity to express their interpretations of what constitutes healthy relationships within their lives through art and design. It allows young people to create a legacy of cultural change within their community all whilst building their capacity and understanding of the topics above. Designs are installed on local traffic signal boxes within the Warrnambool community.
