Young people across the region are invited to enjoy an extended afternoon of food, activities and connection as headspace Warrnambool hosts a special Youth Cafe event as part of Victorian Youth Fest.
The event will be held on Wednesday 30 September from 2pm to 5pm and is open to young people aged 12 to 25 years.
The extended Youth Cafe will feature a range of free activities, including zine making, bracelet and badge making, board games, Polaroid pictures, pot and rock painting, cake decorating and karaoke. Catered food will also be available, with prizes to be won.
A Brophy spokesperson said the event was designed to give young people a relaxed and welcoming way to spend part of the school holidays.
“Youth Cafe is all about creating a space where young people can come together, meet others and enjoy themselves in an environment that feels comfortable and welcoming,” they said.
“For this special extended event, we’ve packed the afternoon with plenty of different activities so young people can get involved in as much or as little as they like.
“Whether you want to have a go at something creative, sing some karaoke, play a board game or simply grab some food and spend time with other young people, there’ll be something for everyone.”
The event forms part of Victorian Youth Fest, with Brophy and headspace Warrnambool encouraging young people looking for school holiday activities to come along.
