BROPHY and headspace are calling for event crew members to help facilitate the returning Warrni Youth Fest in September!

As an event crew member, you’ll provide a youth voice when it comes to design, planning and event management while being guided by Brophy staff.

The festival is run in partnership with Warrnambool City Council and Moyne Shire.

And it’s totally paid, so why not give it a go? Help us plan events that are missing for youth in our local community!

Warrni Youth Fest is a series of free events and activities for young people aged 12 to 25 which aims to provide supported and safe opportunities to participate, learn, socially connect and experience their community.

Young people will be encouraged and inspired to experience new passions, talents, and skills.

We envision a week-long festival which highlights young people’s achievements and talents selected by the Youth Crew.

All events will be LGBTIQA+ safe, culturally inclusive as well as all abilities welcomed.

headspace Community Awareness & Engagement Worker Kayla Mugavin said the event was hugely positive to be a part of.

“It’s a positive way to connect, engage and have fun by inviting young people back into our local communities to explore and experience new passions and activities across the south-west while also creating an opportunity for social connection after two years of COVID interruptions,” she said.

Expressions of interest for the event crew member roles close on July 8.
