Farewell to Transition to Work!
It is with some sadness, but also a lot of pride, that we announce Brophy will no longer deliver the Transition to Work program from June 30, 2022.
The team have had huge success with supporting young people into education and employment opportunities over the last six years across the Great South Coast with sites in Colac, Hamilton, Portland and Warrnambool.
More than 550 young people were supported into an employment opportunity with approximately 70% maintaining this placement for at least six months. 994 people were engaged in the program over six years.
This level of achievement and success would not have been possible without the support of local businesses, organisations and Champions of Young People.
We are eternally grateful to all stakeholders who have invested in the young people of the Great South Coast, and the outcomes for both employers and young people attest to this.
To the young people who have allowed us into your lives, we thank you. Each one of you have blown us away with your willingness to jump on board the program, share your dreams and aspirations with us, take positive risks to build on your skills and abilities and make a positive impact on your local community.
Brophy is committed to remain a leader in supporting youth employment and education pathways within the region and look forward to maintaining those valued partnerships and collaboration to continue to support youth transitions in the Great South Coast of Victoria.
