About the Role

As our Customer Service Assistant, you’re the person who sets the tone, the warm welcome, the steady organiser, the problem-solver who helps people feel seen, supported and confident they’ve come to the right place.

At Brophy, we take an Advantaged Thinking approach, and this role brings that to life every single day. You’ll create a positive, strengths-focused experience for everyone who walks through our doors or picks up the phone including clients, families, staff, partners, and community members.

You’ll keep our spaces running smoothly by juggling calls, greeting visitors, coordinating mail and resources, and providing high-quality admin support that lets our programs shine. Your ability to stay calm under pressure and manage competing demands will help ensure our teams can focus on what matters most: supporting young people, families and communities.

You’ll also build strong relationships across Brophy and with external stakeholders, becoming a trusted connector who helps link people to the right services, the right people, and the right opportunities.

If you’re organised, people-focused, great under pressure and love being the go-to person who makes everything run like clockwork then this role is your chance to make a meaningful impact from the moment the door opens.

This is a casual position, offering flexibility while providing the chance to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative, supportive setting.

Do your skills include:

  • Ability to cope with and perform effectively in a demanding environment, giving close attention to detail and accuracy, whilst meeting tight deadlines and conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to demonstrate experience in liaising with a diverse range of clients.
  • Ability to maintain positive, effective working relationships with colleagues, peers, and relevant stakeholders in a wide range of government, business and community organisations.

Are your credentials:

  • A minimum qualification of a relevant Certificate III or higher in Administration or Business field and/or significant experience in working in an office environment. Experience in the community services sector desirable but not essential.
  • Current Drivers Licence.

About Brophy:

Brophy Family & Youth Services has supported children, young people, families, and the southwest Victorian community for almost 50 years. We live here; this is our community; we believe in people and in their ability to create the life they want.

At Brophy our Vision is not just focused externally on our community – we feel just as passionate about our employees being meaningfully connected through their roles with us to create the life they want, and that as a workforce we achieve this together through innovation and healthy relationships, and by positively contributing to building an advantaged community.
